• MIRR / INTERACTION & INTERFACE DESIGN

With the interaction and interface design we’ve aimed a smooth and playful experience which would work in both AR and VR. Here are some of our explorations and concepts for transitions, button states, pointer & controller design and various interface patterns.

  • Transitions and Buttons

We’ve experimented with fluid transitions and micro-interactions to make the whole experience consistent and enjoyable. We combined 2D and 3D states at the buttons to make them easily recognizable but playful at the same time.

  • Ray Interaction

The core interactions are based on a pointer ray. We’ve explored several variations to make it easy to use and fun, and finally we’ve landed on a simple lasso-like solution. With this lasso-pointer the user is able to drag, move and rotate the items intuitively.

  • Controllers

We designed the controller to be part of the experience but still keep identical. The additional UI elements attached to the controllers in a fluid way to support the satisfying user experiences.
