SNOWFLAKE WALTZ, TOCCA's 2019 A/W Capsule collection, features three top musumeyaku of the Takarazuka Revue, Madoka Hoshizora, Rara Harura, and Mineri Amairo. PORTAL BY TOCCA aesthetically expresses the world of SNOWFLAKE WALTZ with immersive AR effects.

There is a gap between human-eye vision and AR vision with iPad. Photography plays a role in bridging and closing the gap from multiple perspectives. While our eyes can recognize three dimensional shapes of models due to the presence of shadow and visual factors, we sometimes cannot do the volume of 3D models with AR. This is because of visual tricks that happen to human eye, technical difficulty of displaying volume of 3D objects, and problems of production cost.

Still photographies on this page were taken to minimize the gap between 2D and 3D images while maintaining the concept of SNOWFLAKE WALTZ and showing the natural presence of the 3D models in the middle of the physical and virtual worlds. These still photographies give both impression of digital models and unique sense of the future, which make us feel the expansive potential of digital that goes beyond the range of photography.

The world of AR is limitless and unknown; it shows us hope for human happiness and true wealth. Maintaining the quality of beauty and human dignity, we should accept new methods and challenge new frontiers without groundless　preconception.
